June 25, 2011--J.M. Wood Auction Co. Inc. reports a strong global presence at its semi-annual State of Alabama DOT auction in Montgomery. The nearly 1200 registered bidders came from across the globe to see first hand the spread of equipment that the State of Alabama had on on the auction block.
International bidders were on site and online to inspect and bid on the machines up for auction . Countries and territories represented included: Saudi Arabia, Canada, United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Ireland, Australia, United Arab Emirates, Mexico, South Korea and The United States Minor Outlying Islands
"This auction we do for the State of Alabam DOT has gained a reputation as a premier auction for ultra clean equipment and trucks," said company Vice President Bryant Wood. "Many of our customers now just bid online after coming down for the first time and viewing the consistency in quality of the equipment offered at this sale. The State of Alabama does an excellent job maintaining their fleet, and it shows when we conduct the DOT auction."
